The country has recorded its 39th double murder after two men were gunned down by men pretending to be police officers in St Helena on Sunday 24th September, 2023.
• The deceased were identified as 54-year-old Kris Ramsaran, a businessman of Old Rail Way Road, Tabaquite Road, Rio Claro and 44-year-old Rishi Joseph, the owner of Hi-Style Bar from Caroni South Bank Road, St Helena.
• Around 4:00pm, the victims were reportedly on Caroni South Bank Road, near Max Grill, after returning from the airport, when two men dressed in police tactical wear approached.
• The suspects then pulled out their firearms and shot the men multiple times, killing them at the scene.
This was also the second double murder that took place in the month of September.
Just on Wednesday 06th September, 2023, 41-year-old Barry Boyce and 42-year-old Dexter Antoine aka “Jonesy boy” were shot and killed in Chrissie Terrace, Enterprise, Chaguanas.
