A prisons officer identified as Brandon Singh of Aaron Drive, Sangre Grande, was found dead in his vehicle at Matura on Saturday 15th October, 2022.
• Singh contacted his cousin attached to the northern division indicating that he consumed poison and was headed to the Salybia area.
• PC Maharaj accompanied by PC Samuel proceeded along the toco Main Road, Matura, where they discovered Singh in his vehicle unresponsive.
• He was taken to the Sangre Grande Hospital and died moments after.
• Singh allegedly consumed a poisonous substance called “malathion”
