A man was shot and killed in Tunapuna on Sunday 3rd December, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as Ancil Robert Maxwell aka Mountain of Upper Fairley Street, Tunapuna.
• Around 9:30 pm Maxwell was reportedly standing along Upper Fairley Street when he was confronted by two men armed with guns.
• The suspects then shot Maxwell several times before fleeing the scene.
• Residents who heard the gunshots investigated and found Maxwell lying in a pool of blood.
• The police and emergency health services were notified, however, by the time they arrived at the scene Maxwell had succumbed to his injuries.
• Crime scene investigators also visited the scene and recovered seven spent shells.
The last murder that occurred in the Tunapuna area was on Thursday 19th October, 2023, when 30-year-old Aaron Auguste aka Polo was shot and killed while walking along Tunapuna Road near St John’s Street.
