• The deceased has been identified as Vernon Thomas aka Tucker of Mt Grace, Tobago who was said to be in his 60’s.
• Around 9:00pm, officers received a call of multiple gunshots in the Dutch Fort area near a bar.
• When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Thomas’ lifeless body on the roadway, covered in gunshot wounds.
• A DMO was then summoned to the scene, viewed the body and made their pronouncement.
The last murder that took place in Tobago was on Thursday 25th January, 2024, when Nigel Julien aka “tall man”, originally from Quarry Street, Port-of-Spain was shot and killed along Signal Hill, Lambeau, Tobago.
