Tobago has recorded its 13th murder after a woman was killed, doused with gasoline and set on fire on Tuesday 19th December, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 40-year-old Janelle Thomas-Stowe of Signal Hill, Tobago.
• Stowe’s body was reportedly discovered in a drain along Glen Eagles Drive in Mt Irvine.
• The police were notified and when the officers arrived at the scene, they observed her burnt body in the drain with her hands and feet bound.
• The male relative who reportedly confessed to the murder was subsequently taken into police custody as investigations are ongoing.
The last murder that took place in Tobago and the last female to be killed on the twin island is 34-year-old Chiniqua White aka Chin, who was gunned down in Black Rock on Monday 06th November, 2023.
