An Arima man was found shot to death inside a vehicle along the Uriah Butler Highway near the Caroni Flyover on Saturday 11th November, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 53-year-old Andy Daniel of Mahoe boulevard, the crossings in Arima.
• Around 2:00pm, police were alerted of a van which had been parked on the shoulder of the northbound lane of the highway, a short distance from the Caroni Flyover, for an extended period.
• When the officers arrived at the scene and approached the vehicle, they found Daniel’s body slumped behind the wheel, covered in gunshot injuries.
• A DMO was summoned to the scene, viewed the body, made their pronouncement and ordered its removal to the Forensic science centre.
