A man was shot and killed in Arima early on Thursday 08th June, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 31-year-old Tevin Campbell of Myra Lane Sherwood Park, Arima.
• Around 3:15am, Campbell was reportedly liming with a group of friends at a bar on Cleaver Road, Arima, when he and a female friend walked onto San Cipriano Street.
• While there, a car drove near him and gunmen emerged firing several shots before making their escape.
• Campbell sustained gunshot injuries and the woman raised an alarm.
• Campbell was subsequently taken to the Arima District Health Facility where he was pronounced dead while receiving medical treatment.
• Crime scene investigators visited the scene and recovered several spent 9mm shell casings.
This was the third murder that occurred in the Arima area for the month of June thus far.
On Friday 02nd June, 2023: 45-year-old Jason Lezama of Hoyte Avenue, Arima was gunned down at John Street, Mt Zion Road in Arima.
On Thursday 1st June, 2023, 15-year-old Zion Oculien aka Queener of Antigua Road, Wallerfield, Arima was shot and killed in the area.
