A man died after he was knocked off his motorcycle in Wallerfield on Friday 17th November, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 36-year-old Kervyn Walcott of Ramdhanie Street in St Margaret’s Village, Claxton Bay.
• Around 4:30pm, The driver of a red Ford Ranger was reportedly attempting to turn right onto the Old Agua Santa Road in Wallerfield, when he came into contact with Walcott’s motorcycle that was proceeding west.
• The truck ran over the motorcycle before coming to a stop.
• The police and emergency health services were contacted and Walcott was taken to the Arima district health facility where he died while undergoing emergency surgery.
• A team of officers led by ASP Demattos, Sgt Metivier, Cpl Madeir, and others, responded and carried out investigations.
The last fatal motorcycle accident took place on Sunday 25th June, 2023, when 33-year-old Trinidadian motorsports enthusiast, Melbourne Taylor, died after his motorcycle crashed into the safety barriers at the Wallerfield International Raceway.
