The body of a man who is yet to be identified was found floating in the waters of the Gulf of Paria on Sunday 19th November, 2023.
• Around 7:30am, the body was initially found in the waters near the Five Islands Waterpark.
• The relative authorities were contacted and Coast Guard officials were dispatched and conducted an expanded grid search from the water park to Felicity, where they discovered the body around 10:40am.
• The decomposed body that was only clad in a black top, appeared to have a wound to the head.
• The body was subsequently taken to Stauble’s Bay in Chaguaramas and the police were notified.
• A team of officers led by W-Cpl De Gazon responded and the body was viewed by a district medical officer, who made its pronouncements, before ordering its removal.
