The country has recorded its second quadruple murder after four (4) men were gunned down in Belmont on Sunday 29th October, 2023.
• The deceased were identified as 25-year-old Brandon Forde of Belmont Circular Road, 27-year-old Brian Padmore of Belmont Terrace, 31-year-old Kerron Moore and 26-year-old Chivon Clarke both of Ertig Road, Belmont.
• Around 10:10pm, the victims were liming at the corner of Smart Place and the Belmont Circular Road, when an SUV drove up to them.
• Five gunmen reportedly got out of the car and fired several shots, hitting the four victims before fleeing the scene.
• Residents heard the gunshots and contacted the police and officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force Strike Team, Officers of the Belmont CID and the Port of Spain Task Force responded.
• Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region I also visited the scene with a District Medical Officer, who declared the four men dead.
The last quadruple murder took place on Thursday 21st September, 2023, when 10-year-old Faith Peterkin; 14-year-old Arianna Peterkin; 17-year-old Shane Peterkin; and 19-year-old Tiffany Peterkin died following a massacre at their home in La Retreat Ext in the Heights of Guanapo, Arima.
