The owners of woo ling’s supermarket in St. James have decided to retire following a robbery with violence at the establishment which left an 80-year-old man in hospital on Thursday 16th March, 2023.
• During the early hours yesterday morning, armed suspects broke into the premises where they saw one of the owners of the supermarket.
• The suspects then tied up the 80-year-old victim, beat him, robbed him and made their way into the supermarket before fleeing the scene.
• One of the supermarket co-owners, Brent Woo Ling spoke out about the violent robbery saying that this was the first time in their 60 years of operation that any robbery has taken place.
• He added that this has expedited their decision, that the time has come for them to retire.
