A woman, identified as 43-year-old Kareen Ramlal who was convicted of killing her husband back in 2006, was reported missing but was found dead six (6) days later at penal rock road.
• Around 2:30pm on Sunday, Ramlal’s decomposing body was wrapped tightly in a black tarpaulin in a bamboo grove at Bobb Trace, near the 8-mile mark in Penal Rock Road, Penal, after a search was conducted.
• A hammer was found next to the body, which is suspected to be the murder weapon.
• Ramlal’s identification card, phone and shoes were also recovered from the scene.
• The search was conducted by the Siparia CID headed by Insp Junior Marcelle, the hunters search and rescue team led by captain Valence Rambharat and the TTPS Air Support Unit.
