WASA will send home at least 213 members of its 426-executive management team as it begins transforming the state entity, Minister of Public Utilities Marvin Gonzales said at a press conference on Thursday 28th July, 2022
• Gonzales added that restructuring unionised employees will only be done after negotiations are completed with the majority union representative for the workers.
• Cabinet, Gonzales, said, approved the transformation of WASA which has thousands of more staff members than it actually needs. He added that the management level must be reduced to ensure wasa runs more efficiently and is not caught up in red tape.
