Vendor shot in brazen Port of Spain shooting last Thursday dies at the hospital….
30-year-old Joel Williams, a vendor, who was shot in the face in broad daylight at the corner of Broadway and South Quay in downtown Port of Spain on Thursday 14th July, 2022, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on Sunday 17th July, 2022.
• Williams, of St. Paul Street, East Dry River Port of Spain, was shot in the head by a man dressed in a WASA jersey and black fishers around midday.
• The suspect then ran towards the highway in the direction of Sea Lots where he made his escape. Police believe he may have escaped in a waiting vehicle.
• Williams, who usually sells bottled water in the area, was taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital but he died over the weekend.
