Two men were killed in a shooting incident in the Ste Madeleine Police District.

Southern Division officers responded to a shooting incident in the Ste Madeleine Police District where two men were killed.
• The deceased have been identified as 47-year-old Owin Danzell of St Andrews Park Cocoyea Village, San Fernando and 43-year-old Terrance Rawlins of Mc Norton Trace, Plaisance Park, Point-a-Pierre and Iere Village, Corial Road, Princes Town.
• Around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday 18th February 2023, Ag Cpl. Maltoo and PC Nangoo of the Ste Madeleine Police Station were on mobile patrol when they responded to a wireless transmission about a shooting at Red Chief Restaurant and Bar at Mt. Stewart Village, Naparima Mayaro Road, Ste Madeleine.
• When the officers got to the scene, they found both victims with gunshots injuries about their bodies.
• Police were told that around 8:40 p.m. on Saturday the deceased were liming with another man outside Red Chief Restaurant and Bar when a car drove up and two men exited, armed with firearms and opened fire on the victims before fleeing the scene.
• Crime Scene Investigators found and seized 3 9mm spent shells, 2 projectiles and 8 spent 5.56 shells casings at the scene.
• 3/9mm spent shell casings.
