• The first shooting incident in the area on Friday 4th November, 2022, claimed the life of a man identified as 32-year-old Akeil Joseph of Emon Lane, Valencia.
• Around 10:16pm, officers of the Valencia Police Post responded to a report about a shooting at Emon Lane. While entering the Lane, officers stopped a vehicle which they later discovered was conveying Joseph to the Sangre Grande District Hospital.
• Police escorted the vehicle to the hospital and Joseph was treated for gunshot injuries around the body but he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.
In the second incident, 34-year-old Nigel Lovelace was found shot to death on the roadway at Sunset Avenue, Benny Road, Valencia, after loud explosions were heard just after 4pm on Saturday 5th November, 2022.
• A report was made to the police and Ag. Insp. Harper, PC Rattansingh and WPCs Gonzales and Sundar, of Valencia Police Post, responded.
• District Medical Officer Dr Lutchmedial viewed the body and ordered that an autopsy be conducted at the Forensic Sciences Centre in St. James.
