Two men were chased and shot dead inside a house along Garcia Circular, Punette Avenue, Mt. Zion Road, Arima on Saturday 7th January, 2023.
• The deceased are 30-year-old Anton John Aka “Frosty” of Lp #1 Mt Zion Road Arima; and 29-year-old Kamali Cayonne aka “Mali” of #14 Garcia Circular, Mt Zion Road.
• Around 9:10pm the deceased were liming at Lp#3 Garcia Circular Arima, when a silver B-15 registration approached and (5) five masked men, all armed with firearms, exited.
• The suspects fired shots in their direction and the 2 (two) men who ran into the house as other persons scampered for safety. The suspects chased the men, cornered them inside a bedroom and continued shooting at them.
• The five men then made their escape in said vehicle and proceeded north along Mt Zion Road. Mali and Frosty died at the scene of the shooting.
• The scene was processed and the following items were retrieved 18 spent 9mm shells, 10 spent 5.56 shells, 1 live 7.62 round, 1 projectile and two sets of metal objects.
• The District Medical Officer visited the scene, viewed the bodies and issued referral letters for post mortem examinations to be conducted at the Forensic Science Centre.
