Two (2) men were found shot to death at Bob Lane off Punette Avenue, Pinto Road, Arima on Sunday 18th December, 2022.
• The deceased was identified as 38-year-old Akeem Alexander, of Punette Avenue, who was found inside a Nissan Almera motor car, while the other victim remains an unidentified man who was found on the roadway a short distance away.
• It is believed that the victims were lured into the area by their killers and police have classified the killings as robbery/homicide.
• Two police officers had responded to a domestic report at a nearby short street off Hoyte Avenue at Punette Avenue just after 6pm, when a man ran up to them and indicated “look a man getting killed.”
• The officers rushed to the scene and discovered Alexander inside the vehicle with bullet injuries.
• The unidentified man was found on the roadway nearby also with gunshot injuries about the body. Both men died at the scene.
• At the scene, officers recovered twelve (12) 9mm spent shell casings, one (1) projectile, one (1) deformed projectile, one (1) live 9mm rounds and one (1) spent shell casing bearing the markings “TTR”.
