Traffic gridlock in and around the city of Port of Spain as residents blocked the roadways with burning debris in protest of the police killings of three (3) males, among them two (2) teenagers in downtown Port of Spain early on Saturday 2nd July, 2022.
Protests action took place along both lanes of the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in Beetham and Sea Lots, Port of Spain also at Nelson and other surrounding streets.
The Lady Young Road in Morvant was also blocked and debris set on fire. Also on Saturday, police shot and killed a resident of 2nd Caledonia Road, Morvant at his home.
