A bandit who attempted to rob the holder of a licensed firearm was shot and killed along the Eastern Main Road near Caura Road during the early hours on Saturday 13th August, 2022.
The suspect, who is believed to be from Maraval and has close to 20 pending criminal cases before the court, was among four (4) bandits in a white Nissan Tiida motorcar.
The firearm license holder wasted no time in opening fire on the would-be bandit who fell on the roadway and died at the scene. His accomplices quickly fled the area.
The dead man’s gun was recovered at the scene by Crime Scene Investigators near Cassie Street Extension.
