There are reports of an incident at the la romaine military base in which a soldier was shot in the head and taken to hospital.

• We understand that the incident happened sometime after 3pm on Tuesday 1st November, 2022 inside the dormitory.

• A loud explosion was heard and other soldiers responded and found their colleague, identified as Blake, on the floor with a gunshot injury to the head and a firearm next to his body.

• He was medically attended to and rushed to the San Fernando general hospital where his condition remains unknown but we understand the victim is on life support.
