• Between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., the TTCGRA hosted a cinema show and Dutch auction as a fundraiser for its members.
• However, at about 10:00 p.m., some of the members secured the building and left.
• Around 2:30pm on Saturday, a security guard who was on duty, observed that there was a break-in on the third floor of the building where the office is located.
• A search was conducted on the premises and a quantity of cash, a mini vault, the business rubber stamp, and a cash pan were discovered missing.
• A report was subsequently made to the police who visited the scene and are carrying out investigations.
The Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard Retiree Association’s (TTCGRA) campus house in St Augustine was broken into on Friday 4th August, 2023.
