THE STABBING OF A SECONDARY SCHOOL GIRL: TEENAGER PLEADS NOT GUILTY, GRANTED $50,000 BAIL ON FRIDAY…THE 15-YEAR-OLD WILLIAMSVILLE SECONDARY SCHOOL GIRL WHO WAS CHARGED WITH STABBING A FELLOW PUPIL ON MONDAY JUNE 6TH NEAR THE SCHOOL, PLEADED NOT GUILTY TO THE CHARGE WHEN SHE APPEARED IN COURT ON FRIDAY 10TH JUNE. • THE TEENAGER APPEARED BEFORE JUSTICE JADE RODRIGUEZ IN THE CHILDREN’S COURT AND WAS PLACED ON $50,000 BAIL TO COVER THE CHARGES OF WOUNDING WITH INTENT TO CAUSE GRIEVOUS BODILY HARM AND POSSESSION OF AN OFFENSIVE WEAPON.
THE GIRL’S PARENTS WERE ALSO PRESENT IN COURT DURING THE VIRTUAL HEARING IN WHICH SHE WAS REPRESENTED BY THREE ATTORNEYS. HER FATHER WAS LISTED AS HER SURETY AND AS A CONDITION OF HER BAIL SHE WAS ORDERED NOT TO HAVE ANY COMMUNICATION WITH THE ALLEGED VICTIM BE IT IN PERSON OR VIA SOCIAL MEDIA. • DAYS AFTER THE INCIDENT ON WEDNESDAY JUNE 8TH, THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION TOOK A DECISION TO EXPEL THE SUSPECT FOLLOWING THE STABBING INCIDENT WHICH WAS RECORDED ON CELL PHONE VIDEO.
