The son of a Homicide Detective was gunned down at his Alcazar Trace, 6th Company, Indian Walk, Moruga home on Monday 13th February, 2023.
• The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Damian Blackwell; the son of a WPC assigned to the Region 3 Homicide Bureau of Investigations in San Fernando.
• He was also an employee at the South West Regional Health Authority.
• Around 10:00pm, residents of the area heard several loud explosions.
• Upon investigating, they found Blackwell lying in a pool of blood suffering from gunshot injuries.
• The police and EHS were contacted, however, Blackwell died at the scene of the shooting.
