The semi-nude body of a female was found near the Grand Stand at the Queen’s Park Savannah on Monday 08th May, 2023.
• Around 7:00pm, Joggers found the woman’s body, with her clothing pulled up around her chest area and a wig near her body.
• Police also suspected that the woman attended the concert that was held at the Savannah on Saturday 06th May, 2023.
On February 10th, 2016, a similar incident occurred when Japanese national Asami Nagakiya’s body was found under a tree in the Queen’s Park Savannah during carnival.
• A post-mortem later revealed that she had been strangled.
