Reports are on Wednesday 22nd February, officers on patrol noticed a suspicious-looking male of African descent along Cumberbatch Lane St. Augustine.
When officers called out to the man, he began advancing towards them armed with a piece of wood in his hands. The officers demanded that he stopped but he refused.
Upon refusing to follow the commands of the police, one of the officers shot the man with a single shot of a spark laser. This resulted in him dropping the piece of wood and rolling down a hill along the river bank where he made his escape.
The suspect is yet to be apprehended.
