• Joseph was. shot and killed after he allegedly attempted to rob a businessman and a woman in a vehicle at the South Park Mall’s carpark with an imitation firearm.
• Joseph, an expectant father, had borrowed $15,000 from a money lender and was given a deadline to repay the money by Saturday 15th October, 2022 but was killed the night before.
• The deceased’s mother said she has seen and heard conflicting versions surrounding his death via media reports and wants the truth adding that if her son went about and committed the crime, the victim had all right to defend himself.
• She is not disputing her son did what he’s accused of doing because she wasn’t there, but various versions of events don’t add up and she simply wants to know where the truth lies.
