The Met Office, on Thursday 14th July, warned that an adverse weather alert #1- yellow would have affected T&T from as early as 2am today, but many persons did not take such a warning seriously until the rains came just after 5am today.
• Massive flooding took place within multiple communities causing incidents of landslides, fallen trees, and wind damage to roofs that were blown off.
• Each of the Regional Corporations, City Councils and Borough Corporations have reported incidents of flooding, and landslides.
• There are also reports that several communities were affected by a loss of electricity as a result of the heavy rains and strong winds.
• The eastern part of Tobago was also affected by fallen trees and power outage
