The manager at JTA Supermarket at C3 Mall died in an early morning car crash near Caroni on Wednesday 14th December, 2022, while on his way to work.
• The victim was identified as 31-year-old Paul Ali of Priam Street San Fernando.
• Around 5:15am, Ali, was driving his blue Nissan AD Wagon registration PDH 9079, south along the Uriah Butler Highway in the vicinity of the Caroni overpass, when he lost control of the vehicle which crashed into the ravine on the western side of the highway.
Ali became trapped inside the vehicle and fire officers had to use the jaws of life to free him from the wreckage.
