• Around 9:45am, residents of Farm Road, Warrenville discovered the body of a man of east Indian descent on the ground and notified the police.
• When the officers arrived at the scene, they observed the deceased clad in a burgundy short sleeve jersey, black underwear and a blue and burgundy short pants that was pulled down to his knees.
• The officers further observed the body which appeared to have marks of violence as well as a bloodied PVC pipe nearby, which led them to believe that the man was beaten to death.
• The officers summoned a DMO to the scene who viewed the body, made their pronouncement and ordered the body to be removed from the scene pending a post mortem.
• WPC George is continuing inquiries.
The last murder that was recorded in the Cunupia area was on Thursday 9th May, 2024, when 65-year-old Deo Anand Seetahal of LP #3 Shamshun Baboolal Avenue, David Toby Road was killed during a robbery at his home.
