The body of a man was found with a gunshot injury in some bushes at Wallerfield.

The body of a man was found with a gunshot injury in some bushes at the side of the roadway at in Wallerfield Arima on Saturday.
• Around 3:45pm W/Cpl Batson-Fletcher and PC Bolondia of the Arima Police Station were on mobile patrol when they responded to a report from the Police Command Centre about a body in some bushes in the vicinity of Carifarms Limited at Windsor Road, Wallerfield
• When the officers arrived, they observed the lifeless body of a male who was described as of mixed descent, approximately 30-years-old, brown in complexion, slim built, approximately 5’10” tall, low hair-cut and goatee beard, and nursing an apparent gunshot wound to the left side of his head.
• The deceased was clad in a yellow jersey with blue long jeans and a pair of black Nike slippers, lying on his left side. The DMO Dr. Mendoza, visited the scene and ordered the body removed pending a post-mortem at the Forensic Science Centre.
• Police believed the victim may have been killed elsewhere and his body dumped in the area as nothing of evidential value was found at the scene.
• Insp. Mascall, Sgt. Ramoutar, W/Cpl Mendoza, W/Cpl Thompson, PC Seetaram WPC Carter, PC Maraj and PC Mc Queen were among the officers who visited the scene. W/Cpl Thompson is probing the incident.
