The body found wrapped in plastic along the highway in Mon Desir yesterday afternoon by police officers of the southwestern division task force, is that of a male of African descent.
• Investigators believe that the victim may have been killed inside a house and his body dumped in the area earlier today.
• Sgt. Leotaud, Cpl. Seecharan and Gokool along with other officers responded to a report about a body at the side of the highway yesterday afternoon.
• Upon arrival, the first responders discovered the victim’s legs, which were bloodied, and wrapped in plastic along with his head and hands. The victim was clad in a plaid short-sleeved shirt and blue 3/4 pants and appears to be approximately 50 years old.
