The Amalgamated Workers’ Union has accepted the Chief Personnel Officer’s 4% increase in wages

The Amalgamated Workers’ Union has accepted the Chief Personnel Officer’s 4% increase in wages and its representative has signed on the dotted line to give effect to such on Monday 29th August, 2022.

• The collective agreements are for the periods 2014-2016 and 2017-2019 at four per cent.

• A statement by the corporate communications division of the CPO’S office said the parties met on five previous occasions over the last six months to address several outstanding issues affecting workers of the union.

• Meanwhile, other public sector workers, including members of the police, fire and prison services, have out rightly refused the 4% offered by the Government through its representative, the CPO Dr. Darryl Dindial.
