Jaden Coutou, an 18-year-old of Avocado Drive, Santa Rosa, Arima, was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle with registration PCY 7618 when officers stopped and searched him.
Officers WPC Dipnarine and other officers were on patrol in Arima along De Gannes Street when she stopped the vehicle. The vehicle was searched and Coutou was found with a loaded 9mm Ruger pistol and 16 rounds of live ammunition in his man purse.
The driver and the vehicle were searched but nothing illegal was found. Their respective homes were also searched but nothing illegal was found there either.
Investigations are ongoing with WPC Dipnarine.
