Some alleged gang leader at Railway Road threatened people after the police stopped and searched his car.
• He said that anybody who calls the police usually finds out (implying he has friends with the police) warning he would deal with such persons and they would have to move out of the community.
• That’s what law-abiding citizens, doing their civic duties, have to put up with in a lot of crime hotspots from gang leaders who are criminals and feel they own certain communities.
• So the police cannot act on the information they receive from members of the public to aid in making communities safe?
• This is one for Acting Commissioner of Police Mc Donald Jacob to address with urgency, given the inference drawn with his police connection and/or influence this individual proudly reveals in the presence of other police officers.
