A shooting in Kelly Village, Caroni, left one (1) man dead and another injured on Sunday 26th March, 2023.
• The deceased has been identified as 44-year-old Marvin Marcano while the injured man remains unidentified.
• Around 8:45pm, Marcano was walking along Rabindranath Trace, Kelly Village, Caroni, one street away from where he lived.
• Shortly after, residents heard a series of loud explosions.
• Upon investigating, they found Marcano lying in a pool of blood, suffering from several gunshot injuries.
Marcano was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victim was taken to the Chaguanas health centre for treatment after sustaining a gunshot injury to his hand.
