Several streets within the Enterprise Chaguanas community were placed on lockdown last night following a shooting incident that left at least one man injured as police searched for several armed suspects
• The shooting happened at Dass Trace Enterprise Chaguanas just after 9pm on Monday 31st October, 2022 as a white pick-up was driving through the area with at least two male occupants.
• Reports are that several men on the ground opened fire on the vehicle and there was an exchange of gunfire.
• Police officers who were on mobile patrol nearby responded to the gunfire and immediately went in search of the suspects.
• The van was discovered crashed off the roadway and riddled with bullets. Police said a firearm was also found inside the vehicle which had blood leading them to believe one of the occupants was shot and wounded.
• A resident, identified as Dwayne Bain, was shot during the incident. He was discovered at nearby Bhagaloo Street and conveyed to Hospital for medical treatment.
