Senior Counsel Gilbert Peterson, one of the attorneys who is seeking the interest of Paria, said the Hyperbaric Chamber in which the divers were inside under the water, was removed by LMCS after the tragedy.
• Chairman Lynch had indicated the intention of the Commission to visit the scene of the tragedy but Peterson, lead counsel for Paria, informed him that the hyperbaric chamber now lies on the sea bed after there was an attempt by L.M.C.S to remove it.
Four underwater divers, employed with L.M.C.S were sucked into a pipeline with a depth of approximately 75 feet and a length of 1,200 feet long along the sea bed on February 25th 2022.
• Fyzal Kurban, Rishi Nagessar, Yusuf Henry, and Kazim Ali Jr. were sucked into a 36” diameter pipeline which ran on Friday 25th February in Point-a-Pierre.
• Christopher Boodram, another welder who was with the unaccounted men, was found about 30 feet into the pipe and was pulled out alive.
