Schoolboy gunned down outside birthday party in Maraval, two suspects are being sought…
A Maraval family is mourning the loss of their 16-year-old relative who was gunned down outside his home on the night of Saturday 9th July, 2022.
Caleb Martineau of Back Street, Le Platte Village, Morne Coco Road, Maraval, died at the Port of Spain General Hospital.
Martineau, a form 5 student of the Tranquility Government Secondary School, was shot about the body by two armed men known to him right in the area where he operates A and C auto’s carwash business.
Two other persons were also injured during the shooting. Caleb was hit by bullets intended for someone else.
His father Kurt Martineau and other relatives have not been able to come to terms with his killing.
According to Kurt, his son was on the roadway outside his home where a birthday party for a neighbor was about to take place. Kurt’s vehicle was also hit by bullets fired by the suspects.
The loss of Caleb has left the community devastated and there are calls for justice to be served in the matter.
