Reports that a woman police officer was killed in a road traffic accident along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway in Gasparillo tonight.
• The victim has been identified as WPC Reg. # 10524 Susan Duncan-Thomas who was assigned to the Community Policing Unit.
• The vehicle that killed her reportedly crossed the median from one side of the highway and slammed into her vehicle.
• The accident happened around 8:30pm and involved a total of five vehicles. The vehicle that crossed the highway is said to be a Nissan Navara pickup.
• All the injured victims were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital for medical treatment but WPC Duncan-Lewis was declared dead at the scene.
