While police were still at the country’s first murder scene for 2023, they received a report of a possible double murder at Kelly Village in Caroni.
• When officers got to the scene, they observed a pool of blood next to a white Nissan B-15 motor car and a pair of slippers on the roadway.
• Subsequent investigations revealed that Ronnie Lambkin and his aunt Neema Lambkin both of San Pedro Road Extension in Valencia, were shot about their bodies and taken to the Mt. Hope Hospital for medical treatment.
• Ronnie later died while undergoing emergency treatment while Neema was treated for a gunshot injury to her arm.
• Reports suggests that Ronnie took a hired work to drop some people in Chaguanas and while he and his aunt were on their way back home, they stopped by a shop to make a purchase at a shop near St. David’s RC Primary School, Kelly Village.
A suspect approached the victims and opened fire on them before fleeing along a nearby street, leaving his slippers at the crime scene.
