Questioned on if he felt it was necessary for a Limited State of Emergency in some parts of the country which has seen a significant number of murders, Commissioner Jacob said he believes that such an approach, as has been adopted in Jamaica recently, is not necessary at the moment.
• Jacobs said what is needed is an improvement in policing and a wider collaborative effort by the various stakeholders.
