• The burnt remains of a human were found near a track off the Blanchisseuse Road in Arima on Wednesday 28th September 2022.
• Around 6:30pm, passers-by spotted a corpse on fire at the side of the Blanchisseuse Road Arima in the vicinity of Tripp Trace and notified the police.
• Officers from the Arima Police Station, led by ASP Ettienne went to the scene where they discovered the burnt remains. The lawmen were joined by Sgt. Sunil Ramoutar and other officers of the Region 2 Homicide Bureau of Investigations.
• Crime Scene investigators discovered that the body, which appeared to be that of a young person or a female, was burnt with the help of tyres and other debris. Investigations are continuing into the incident.
