Police arrested a man who was involved in a shooting incident following a dispute with a businessman in Felicity and seized five (5) guns and ammunition from the suspect on Monday 3rd October, 2022.
• According to police around 8:30am, the male victim was at his business place in Felicity when he got into an altercation with two men.
• One of the suspects, police said, struck the businessman to the back of the head with an object while the other pulled out a gun and fired shots in the air before pointing it at the male victim and firing shots in his direction.
• The victim, the TTPS said, ran into his vehicle but was followed by the gunman who struck and damaged the windshield with a gun.
• A report was made to the police and officers of the Chaguanas CID responded and later arrested a 39-year-old man in connection with the incident.
• Officers also seized from the suspect, One Glock 19 pistol, one Glock 30 pistol, one Smith and Wesson pistol, one Benelli 12-gauge shotgun, one Remington 12-gauge shotgun, six magazines and several rounds of assorted ammunition.
