Police are searching for a suspect in connection with the attempted murder of a Sangre Grande man who was stabbed with a kitchen devil knife outside a bar in Sangre Grande over the weekend.
• The incident happened around 8:30pm on Saturday 21st January, 2023 outside Lalla’s bar along market street in Sangre Grande. One-eyed welder is wanted for the attempted murder of a man whom he stabbed with a kitchen devil in Sangre Grande.
• The suspect, who is known as “Rasta” and is from coalmine in Sangre Grande. The suspect repeatedly stabbed a well-known barber from the area identified as Kevin Dick during a verbal confrontation.
• CCTV footage showed the suspect placing taking a knife from his car and placed it in his pants waist and returning to the area where Dick was on the pavement arguing.
• As Dick turned his back to walk away, Rasta stabbed him repeatedly and even kicked the victim as he fell on the roadway. The suspect then fled the scene in a car registration PDA 4793, along with two females and one male.
