Ramdeo Ragoo, a 77 year old pensioner of Jeningham Road, Cunupia is dead following a fire at his home.
Reports are, 2 men entered the premises and stole items before setting the house on fire. The pensioner, who was also a stroke patient, could not be saved by his relatives and died inside.
It is alleged that this all stemmed from a land dispute.
Investigations are continuing.
