Outrage within the Guyanese legal fraternity after an attorney was detained by police after advising her client to “remain silent”
• Attorney Tamieka Clarke was detained by officers of the Special Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) after she advised her client to “remain silent” on Friday 28th October, 2022.
• Guyana’s Attorney General Anil Nandlall said when the matter came to his attention, he advised the police to immediately release the attorney.
