One man is dead and another is in critical condition at the hospital following a shooting incident at a house along Johnny Street in Tacarigua on Saturday 3rd December 2022.
• The dead man has been identified as 20-year-old Nicholas Batson aka Chucky while 19-year-old Joshua Caesar remains critical at the hospital after he was shot twice in the head.
• According to police sometime after 6pm, several young adult males were liming in the yard of a house at Johnny Street when a car pulled up and three men alighted and opened fire on them.
• The victims ran in a different direction but the gunmen pursued Chucky and continued firing shots at him. The suspects later fled the scene and Caesar was discovered with gunshot injuries and he was taken to hospital.
• The following day, police returned to the scene and made several searches where they discovered the body of Chucky at nearby Joe Street over a wall.
• On 22nd November: Officers of the Northern Division raided the same house at Johnny Street and allegedly found and seized a loaded 9mm pistol and detained 5 young adult males, including Caesar who were at the house during the search
