One man is dead and a woman is injured during an early morning shooting in Santa Cruz on Monday 24th October 2022
• The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Whitnol “Jimmy” Philbert, a farmer of Toncabean Terrace, Pipiol Road, Cantaro village, upper Santa Cruz.
• 39-year-old Kamara Boucher of San Juan has been identified as the injured victim who was shot in her stomach and remains warded at the hospital.
• The duo were shot by unknown assailants and Philbert died at the scene.
• Visiting the scene were Ag. Sgt. Mitchell, W/AG Cpl Dates and AG Cpl Bushell of the Region 2 Homicide Bureau of Investigations.
• Philbert’s mother spoke off-camera with our camera crew near the scene of the incident yesterday.
