Investigations are continuing into the robbery at Fantastic Foods Supermarket in Tumpuna Road South which occurred on Thursday 04th May, 2023.
• One of the suspects is reportedly Nathaniel Blackman of Phase 7, La Horquetta who was subsequently arrested following the robbery.
• Around 11:20am, three bandits, one armed with a gun, walked in entered the supermarket and announced a robbery.
• The bandits relieved a customer of $2,500 and $4,516 from the cash register as well as two bottles of Hennessey cognac.
• The suspects then took one of the workers to an office upstairs of the grocery and forced her to give them $43,000 which had been set aside to pay workers’ salaries, before fleeing the scene.
• A report was subsequently made and officers of the Arima Police Station responded and are carrying out investigations.
